DALLAS, TX - The World Combat League (WCL) is
the creation of action-film and television star Chuck Norris. Norris
has organized the world's most experienced martial arts producers to
make his vision become reality. Chuck Norris, as the creative head,
has joined together a number of innovators, including Texas Web
Developers, to present the next major American sporting league and
the next generation of martial arts combat entertainment.
The WCL presents unparalleled athleticism and excitement in
a fun, family environment
The WCL hosted its inaugural event
October 8, 2005, at the Dallas Convention Center. Four teams -
representing Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City and Los Angeles -
competed in head-to-head combat. Additional preview events are
planned - the next event scheduled for January 21st, 2006 at the
Mohegan Sun Arena, Connecticut, featuring New England vs. New York
and Miami vs. Philadelphia.
